Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained pastor from Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix's aptitude for sports was apparent from the time she enrolled at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished with a second-place finish in the 200 meter event of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary school. Felix's first Olympic medal was at the 2004 Summer Olympics held in Athens Greece. Felix set a world junior record for the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion in the 200-meter race. She was able to defend the title once again in 2007, winning over her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo consistently placing within the top three of her races.
